HOW TO IMPROVE READING
How To Improve Reading
Welcome to How to Improve Reading

We want our kids to read, right?
We want our kids to improve their Reading.
We need to encourage children to read, especially reluctant readers.
How do we do it?
We want them to enjoy it!

I want to talk about how we can encourage our children to read, especially readers that are struggling a bit or may be a bit reluctant.  I have loved to read all my life, and feel it is really important.

I believe we can make Reading fun and interesting for our children.  We can set out pillows or have them read in a tent in the backyard.  There are many creative ways to encourage them.  Perhaps you have some ideas, too.  I would like to hear about them if you do.

It helps to find interesting materials to read like the "Captain Underpants" series,  "Clifford the Big Red Dog," and the "Little Critter" series. These are just a few of the good children's books out there.  There are many good books and materials from which to choose.

When I was a child, my Aunt purchased a magazine that I enjoyed so much. I always looked forward to its coming in the mail.  I, in turn, bought "Highlights" for my nieces and they loved it.  It is a wonderful magazine. But, there are many others that are just as good that you can find to interest your child in reading.  I have found that teenagers even like "American Girl" magazine and boys like "Ranger Rick."  It is a great way to keep kids interested and Reading and up with what is going on in their world.  These are just a few ideas I have found that work with kids.
